My Cultural Immersions tour with Australian Coastal Safaris is guided by myself as Cultural Knowledge holder. This immersive Cultural experience on Nauo Country within Coffin Bay National Park offers visitors a deeply respectful and enriching connection to Ancestors, land, sea and sky. The experience is grounded in collaboration, relationship, and respect for Country.

The tour begins with a ‘Welcome to Country’ by Nauo woman, Tahnee Weetra, who shares her people’s deep connection to Country through storytelling and language. Tahnee’s welcome invites visitors to enter Nauo Country with understanding, respect, and openness, offering insights into Nauo Cultural identity, place-based knowledge, and the enduring relationship between people and land.

I then lead guests on a gentle bush food and medicine trail, sharing knowledge of natives plants and animals traditionally used by Ancestors of the region and connected regions for food, healing, tools, and daily life. Along the way, stories are shared of how families travelled, visited, and camped on this Country, weaving together lived experience, cultural memory, and connection to place.

These teachings are further enriched through connected songlines and star stories, revealing how the people, landscape, coastline, and night sky are connected through Indigenous knowledge systems and Lore.
