Our story

My name is Susan Betts. I am a Wirangu, Kokatha and Mirning woman. An artist, a storyteller and a carrier of ancient memories. My work weaves land, culture, sky, and spirit into one living pathway that lights the way forward.

From a young age, I felt the stir of the stars inside my soul. Overtime, those memories returned - of my ancestral star kin, of my ancient lifetimes, and of the teachings I carried long before this present time. Today, those teachings flow again through my work on Country, through my creative art, and through my every experience I share.

Through my Cosmic Cultural Star Emersion talks and workshops, I share the star lore carried by our people - weaving Indigenous knowledges, star stories, and my own soul memories into teachings for schools, groups, and communities. These sessions help people remember who they are and connect within to who they are in the vastness of the cosmos.

My creative work is another doorway. My poetry, watercolour artworks, weavings, bush medicines, carvings, and jewellery are crafted with intention, memory, and Country’s voice in my hands. Every piece hold a story - of land, sky and spirit - ready for the right person to receive.

Through my blogs and videos, I share the unfolding of my journey; my star teachings, my experience on Country, and the stories that rise from my workshops and creative practices. These reflections off guidance and remembrance for those walking their own path back to themselves.

‘Waldya Spirit Immersions’ is my offering to the world - a bridge between Earth and Sky, Culture and Cosmos, past and future.

It is a place for learning, remembering, healing and awakening.
